My childhood in Himachal Pradesh was spent watching the monsoon clouds swallow entire mountains. I don't paint the mountains themselves, but rather the memory of that feeling, the immense quiet and the shifting colours of the sky. For me, abstract landscape is the most honest language to speak in because it captures the soul of a place, not just its form. I use layers of colour and texture to build these atmospheric worlds on canvas.
